Cubismo is a 9-piece orchestra that plays hot Latin jazz & salsa. Their music features a variety of instruments, enriched by strong rhythm lines, played by the large rhythm section. Apart from their diverse covers of jazz classics, traditional and popular Cuban repertoire, Cubismo also perform their own compositions. The band was formed in 1996 and is based in Zagreb, Croatia. Their first release came out in spring of 1997, titled Cubismo. The critics praised the material and certanly most important – huge following of fans was made. Shortly after the release the band went on their first major tour – the result was astonishing. From then on, the bend become a regular outfit for any kind of special events, concerts, club gigs and jazz festivals always impressing with their abilities to perform the most outstanding and demanding Latin jazz.
